From September through to April we meet at the Clock Warehouse, Shardlow, Derbyshire, on the last Wednesday of the month from 7.30pm, with speakers and other organised events.

For the rest of the year we adopt a more informal style, holding our meetings at members’ houses and viewing their ponds for a relaxing evening of chat between friends. In addition, we exchange visits with other koi clubs across the country, which are great days out for the entire family.

The Clock Warehouse at Shardlow is so called as there was once a clock adorning the front of the building. The building built in 1780 now completely refurbished dominates the western basin. There are channels underneath which let barges load and unload easily. This popular pub serves good family food and can get very busy in summer. There is a skittle alley and nearby there is a Heritage Centre.
