Only EMKC members can enter koi into the auction

Auction to end by 4pm or whenever bidding on the last lot has ceased
A small addmission charge of £2.00 per person will apply, under 16's are free
20% of the sales value will go to the club as commission - 50% for Richdon Koi sold
All payment to be cash only - a cash machine is within local distance should it be required
All lots to be pre-booked no later than 2 weeks before the event
It would be of great benefit if photographs of koi to be auctioned can be provided - they can be emailed to dturner@maxamber.fsnet.co.uk
It is recommended that koi not be feed for at least 48 hours before the event
Richdon can provide plastics bags/bands if needed but boxes must be provided by the member
If at all possible, we would appreciate it if anyone buying koi could provide there own boxes
No koi will be accepted with any signs of body damage, swelling, redness or excessive mucus, open wounds or ulcers. Koi with healed wounds and scars will be accepted.
Koi to be transported to/from the event should be double bagged and oxygenated, placed in a box with lid closed and placed parallel across the vehicle axle, to prevent front to back movement.
Members who do not have an oxygen bottle can use an air pump to inflate the bag however we recommenced that no longer that 90 minute journeys be taken using this method, bags will be re-oxygenated if required at the auction ground
Water will be available to replace lost water if bags leak, or to replace water should a koi bleed in the bag
All koi will be left in bags and floated into a large vat treated with virasure to prevent cross contamination between bags
Anyone wanting to bid on koi must make themselves know at the marquee and obtain a bidding card
All sellers will remain anonymous to bidders
All koi are 'sold as seen', and the club does not accept any liability for koi purchased at the auction, or any resulting issue after the koi has been introduced into your pond
It is our recommendation and 'best practice' that ALL koi purchased be it from an auction, dealer or any other source should be quarantined for a period of time before entering the koi into your main pond
Bio-security will be in-force on the day and all visitors will be expected to pass through the foot dips and use hand wash provided
